谈及创作、写作，我总是有些胆怯、有些抗拒， 我猜想追根究底应该是害怕被用审判的眼光所凝视、成品不尽人意。或许这是我更加享受帮助别人的词曲完成编曲、后制的原因？但那些不也是‘创作’的其中一种型态吗？哈哈，有时我也搞不懂我自己。一直以来身处在的教育体系给我的写作反馈都让我有些许灰心，所以我不常写，更不常发表我写的东西。 但我还是踏出第一步了—— 我曾一度下定决心在考完 Piano Diploma 后就此把钢琴搁置，因为我认为我和她之间的羁绊已变得只剩下考核数字。想要割舍一个陪伴自己多年的习惯或着说、曾经一睹顶峰之景的成就感，是件不容易的事。可连我自己都记不清上一次随着指尖飞舞，琴槌敲下一颗颗让人会心一笑的旋律是什么时候了；我只记得我因为卡在某个章节反覆练了许久后因气急败坏而落下的眼泪。「因为一个小节的停顿让肌肉记忆在考场失效、彻底陷入在脑袋空白、丧坐在钢琴椅子上的场景⋯⋯」，我每次练琴都不禁自己内耗自己一番，的确像 INFP 会做的事。 后来呢，和大家一样，一个疫情改变了生活的节奏和一切看似是被决定好的人生流水线及其选项。马来西亚面临的第一次全国封锁是我高中毕业后的第三个月；在这巨大的环境洪流加上疫情的突袭，那时候并不知道自己还剩下的选项究竟还有哪些。是咬着牙再给他念个音乐演奏系、还是艺术管理⋯⋯心里想着只要能念着不讨厌又姑且还擅长的科系毕业，之后再打算。但基于当时的认知和视野，脑中能想像得到的职业实在局限（老实说只有音乐钢琴教师或驻唱乐手）。我的父母或许也是第一次为人父母碰见这世纪难题：那时候不说，但现在回顾起来，他们对于给予我建议这方面的迷茫或许和我的迷惘不相上下，嘻嘻，大人总是那么含蓄。 就这么巧，一位原计划要前往英国念音乐工程系的友人也理所当然地被疫情所眷顾，被迫暂缓升学计划的他想在这段期间做点什么，于是我被邀请加入了他刚成立不久的一人公司（现在是两人公司了！）。刚好我也卡在升学举棋不定的阶段，就这样我误打误撞地进入了音乐后制的领域，一个音乐和物理的巧妙结合之物——豁然开朗，简直让我情有独钟！在蓝鲸公司待到了2020年末，这为期不长的实战经历让我获益良多，也更加地笃定了心声：我想要往音乐后制发展。 在学习音乐后制的路上，每一个新的知识都是以往的我所无法想像的、每走一步都像在解锁新地图板块，「近代音乐」在悄然中来到了我眼前。那时候的我才意识到，原来看待音乐的方式从来不只有一种，而演奏文凭上冰冷的分数也从来不能定义任何一位音乐人。
