
Project Showcase: Sonic Branding for Minyak Herba Cap Udang
Client: Cap Udang (大东亚双虾标青草油)
Scope: Sonic Branding, Vocal Production, Advertising Voice-Over
Objective:
To highlight Cap Udang’s “for the whole family” appeal and its comforting sense of relief for the Malay-speaking audience, we created a sonic identity that feels both caring and multi-generational.
Approach:
- Crafted four distinct voiceovers (Child, Teenager, Adult, Housewife), each reflecting a stage of family life.
- Directed vocal delivery to balance clarity, warmth, and energy—without losing authenticity.
- Reworked background music to lighten the rhythm, letting the voices shine through!
Challenges:
- Finding the right balance for the teenager’s tone: young, but not childish.
- Shaping an elder’s voice that feels grounded and reassuring, while staying clear.
- Blending all four voices into a unified brand sound that connects emotionally.
Outcome:
A series of heartwarming and family-centered sound logos that conveys both care and relief, perfectly aligned with Cap Udang’s values. From the cheerful child’s chant to the elder’s steady reassurance, the voices together celebrate cross-generational harmony.
